So, first of all, people love y’all’s friendship. And I think a lot of people are wondering, are y’all really this tight?

JACK: I walk into a store or I go somewhere [and people ask], “Where’s Druski?” But it’s crazy, because a larger percentage of us hanging out is undocumented. The internet probably only gets 20 percent of the time we spend together. We really kick it. We play Mafia. It’s a group game. You’re trying to figure out the killer.

DRUSKI: Pretty much, [you’re] figuring out who the liar is.

JACK: I like to narrate to make sure the game goes well.

DRUSKI: I like being the guesser, anyway. I like to read people.

JACK: That’s where his talent comes from. You can’t do anything around him. He’s going to peep your little mannerisms and behaviors.

Tell me how y’all got to be close friends.

Druski: I saw Diddy post something like, “This is the next kid. He’s the one.” So I’m like, “Yo, Diddy doesn't even post shit like that.” He’ll either put himself… or himself. I checked Jack’s page out, and I was like, “Yo, this song is a banger.”

What song was it?

DRUSKI: “Thru the Night” with Bryson Tiller. I instantly started clicking some of his other songs, like “Sundown.” I’m like “OK, this white boy is it.

JACK
: What's crazy about it is, when he hit me, I’d been following him. I’d been a fan of his stuff for three months. So I had spent the summer of 2019 showing people my phone, like, “Yo, this is the funniest dude on the internet,” as a fan. So when he followed me and messaged me and said I was dope, we got on the phone right away. And I’m like, “You think I’m dope? I think you’re hilarious.” And then, a couple months later, we got cool. It’s probably around this time two years ago.

You were already spending time in Atlanta at that point, anyway.

DRUSKI: I didn’t even know he was in Atlanta. I thought he was in Kentucky.

JACK: I was like, “I’m in Atlanta; come kick it.” We ended up going on tour two months later.

DRUSKI: I asked him, “Yo, I don’t know if you have anybody hosting your tour. I would be willing to just open up, just to learn. I’ll do it for free. It doesn’t matter. I just want to learn how to do some live shit.” And he was just like, “Yo, I don’t have nobody. I’d love for you to do it.” And then, boom. It just took off.
